UNFPA Sets Up Youth Advisory Committee

guys I am really happy, I think youth is geting herd :D

The U.N. Population Fund (UNFPA) last week created a Youth Advisory Committee that will advise the fund to ensure that its policies integrate young people and address their needs.

"We need you and your ideas because the difference between our world today and tomorrow rests with you," UNFPA Executive Director Thoraya Ahmed Obaid told the two dozen young people selected to serve on the committee at an April 15-16 meeting in New York. "In a sense, you are a parliament, giving us your views and your constituencies' views" (U.N. release, April 21).

Obaid asked the committee to pay special attention to three youth-related topics: culture; HIV/AIDS, which infects 6,000 young people each day; and married adolescents, who are sometimes wed as early as 10 years of age and have no access to reproductive health services appropriate to their needs.

The committee members, who hail from developed and developing countries representing 100 million youths, will serve for two years at most. They will meet annually but maintain regular communication through an e-forum (UNFPA release, April 20).

Abd al-Aziz al-Rantisi Assassinated

I just heard that bad news of Hamas leader Abd al-Aziz al-Rantisi by an Israeli helicopter missile strike on his car in Gaza City, Medics said al-Rantisi was rushed to a Gaza City hospital in a critical condition after the attack. He had reportedly been wounded in his head with shrapnel.
Israel tried to kill al-Rantisi, the public face of a Palestinian resistance group that normally stays in the shadows, last June.
On that occasion he and his teenage son were wounded in an Israeli helicopter missile strike on his car, also in Gaza City.
I really think this way of solving killing Civilians will just make more Civilians die, and Hamas should have revenge and they will , and more will die , because Israel remains working on there idiot similar way , they will never change until the fat pig Sharon go away or get killed too .
He just fill his big fat belly with the money of the people of Israel and he don’t know any thing about policy, he just a killing machine.

And I think Hamas should really try to find a way to kill him too, I think it will be a favor for the Israeli people themselves.

This fools don’t know that by this way they are creating more anger on the Arab region and one day the people will explode and then they will suffer a lot, and they will start hiding at homes as they did after Sheikh Ahmed yacein was assassinated

Google to Offer 1 Gig of Free E-mail

Search engine Google Inc. announced Wednesday it will launch a free, Web-based e-mail service to compete against popular services from rivals Yahoo! Inc. and Microsoft Corp. Google's service, called "Gmail," will include a built-in search function that will let people search every e-mail they've ever sent or received. This could potentially be a resource for the NGO community. 1 free Gega email WOW!!!

World Bank's E-Discussion Toolkit

I got this intersting toolkit while i was surfing the world bank website i think it might be of interest to some one :)
E-Discussion Toolkit
Online discussions, often conducted in partnership with other
institutions, have played a valuable role at the Bank since 1998 and are
regularly scheduled for a variety of topics. By promoting public
consultations, they help put in place systems for capturing knowledge more
effectively. This Tool Kit draws on that experience to offer advice on how
to set up and manage a discussion, including marketing and measuring
effectiveness, and provides links to examples of previous discussions. The
guidelines also aid Bank staff and representatives of organizations with a
direct working relationship with the Bank, who have the option of
sponsoring e-discussions on the Bank's Development Forum site.
